It's finally time to review one of the most anticipated games of the year: Super Smash Bros. Brawl!
It certainly took a while to get here but it finally arrived on the 26th of June which is one day before Europe got it!
So does it live up to the hype? Does it please the critics? Well you'll have to read my review to find out!

So everything is as you'd expect for a Smash Bros game. A bunch of Nintendo characters get thrown together and they start fighting. You can choose crazy combinations of matches like Mario Versus Mr Game and Watch. Or Link versus Wario.
The game isn't too revolutionary to the other Smash Bros games, but it improves a lot of their flaws and contains a lot more content. There are so many unlockable characters and levels. There's also the return of trophies, which are figurines of characters and items from any other Nintendo game. Every trophy even has a slab of information behind it! There's also stickers witch act the same way only you can use them as power-ups in the adventure mode. Speaking of the adventure mode, there's an all new one titled the Subspace Emissary! Smash Bros games aren't usually known fr their stories but this Smash bros game goes all the way to delivering a full story adventure mode built on a fighting game engine! The adventure mode lasts almost ten whole hours! But of course you will spend much more time battling it out normally.
But what control options are there? Like Mario Kart Wii there's four control options for you; The Wii Remote on it's side, the Wii Remote and Nunchuck or the Gamecube and Classic Controller. My personal choice is the Wii Remote on it's side, I just think that's what suits this type of game the most.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is bursting with content. But you can't get the content all at once; you'll have to unlock most of it.
There are 34 characters in all and many levels. Most characters just appear when play enough brawls and then you have to fight them to unlock them, but some require you to play your way through the Subspace emissary.
Levels aren't too hard to unlock either, one Donkey Kong level can be unlocked by playing as Donkey Kong 20 times, but of course you wouldn't know that which is the only reason it might get unlocked right away.
Nintendo has taken precautions for everything; don't have enough controllers? Go to the rotation mode where you just share controllers in a tournament. Have 32 players? Head over to tourney. Everything is catered for in multiplayer. And if you all like the same character you customize the colours endlessly!
Trophies and stickers are easy to find but you can find duplicates too much. To get trophies just participate in the Subspace Emissary where you can pick up ones you find, and stickers appear way to much when your just Brawling. And if that isn't enough to get them, just go into the coin launcher which is like a whole separate arcade game where you shoot your hard earned coins at ships and trophies to get more!

Super Smash Bros online isn't as glorious as I would've expected. When I go into the play with anyone mode it lags like hell. But if I battle my friends it's much better. Brawl is a fast paced game but how come it still works properly with my friends? I think they should've included a feature to battle people in your continent like Mario Kart Wii.
When your with your friends you can customize your taunts to say things like "ROFL" or "LOLZ" or even the more popular "0WnEd!!1!". Matches with friends don't take too long to start but while you wait you can treat yourself to some thrashing of the sandbag!
Something that I thought was interesting was spectator mode. It's where you can watch people online fighting and bet whose going to win. Yes. They finally put gambling into a Smash Bros Game! But that's what I found myself doing because it was completely lag free.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl looks impressive. It's got incredible detail to everything, beautiful levels, explosions and effects. It's Subspace emissary cutscenes only add to impressiveness!
But what really impressed me was the music. From brand new tracks to remixed ones to the original original(!) brawl has got it all beautifully presented.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl will last you years. As long as you have a few friends over every now and then, this game will never get boring for you. Couple that with the bursting content, optional controls, impressive graphics and a long Adventure mode; and
you've got one hell of a game!
