Lostwinds Review

Yes it's finally time to explain what I think about this amazing little wonder!

In Lostwinds you take control of Toku, a young boy who is awakened in a cave by a wind spirit. But the winds spirit is your on screen curser.
As you progress you soon discover that Enril the wind spirit use wind to do all sorts of things like lifting Toku up high into the air, controlling fire, or even smashing enemies into the ground! Speaking of enemies there aren't too many in this game, as they will only serve a minor annoyance when tackling puzzles.

This game is all about puzzles and is designed incredibly well in that department. But in one department it's lacking in would have to be length. Since this game is only $15, you'd think there'd have to be a setback and that's where the setback is. I beat the game in 3 hours and I wasn't rushing.
But in order to mask the shortness of the game and make it slightly longer, every time you beat a level you would have to run all the way back into the village to speak to someone and then run all the way to back to enter a level. This isn't unnoticeable.

This game is designed very well. Especially in it's originality and controls. The Nunchuck controls Toku and the Wii Remote controls Enril.
To jump all you have to do is hold A and it will slow down time and let you draw a wind line to guide Toku up.
The action button is Z which is just odd for me.This game is beautiful, everything from it's lush colours to incredibly soothing soundtrack. Sure you can occasionally noticed a few jagged edges but overall it's great.

Overall this is a great little gem that is definitely worth the 1000 points. So what are you waiting for? GO GET IT!
